From: rz3a049@rzaixsrv1.rrz.uni-hamburg.de (Rosenfeld ) Newsgroups: comp.infosystems.www.misc,rec.arts.misc Subject: ANNOUNCE: 'HypArt' - A WWW art project Date: 22 Jun 1994 13:25:59 GMT ANNOUNCEMENT: The HypArt - Project What is it? The idea to this project came to my mind as I thought about the possibilites originate with a hypermedia system like the World Wide Web. 'HypArt' stands for Hyper-Art and is a artistical equivalent to 'Hyper-Text'. The thought is that a single picture is created by several people. Therefore the image is being divided into squares and each artist contributes one of them. Since it is the aim to get a single picture as a result, the parts should match their neighbours. So it is only possible to add a piece when there is already a completed part to put a new one next to it. You'll find more information about how to contribute etc. in the Homepage of the Project.(URL see below) Where to find it ? On the WWW-Server of the University of Hamburg: The URL is: http://rzsun01.rrz.uni-hamburg.de/cgi-bin/HypArt.sh Comments are welcome!
